LADY AIR: MAKING A DOCUMENTARY IN NEPAL. Introduction: read me first!

The following article is the first in an eight part series, detailing the process and experience of making an independent documentary about women and the media in Rural Nepal. We will not only be looking at how the documentary went from being a mere idea to a living project but we will also look at the people, culture and confrontations we came across along the way! Hopefully, you’ll not only have a better idea about the complex and fascinating culture of Nepal, about living in poverty, community media and women’s issues but you will also get an idea of how you too can turn a ‘passing thought’ into your own next working project!
