100 Journals Project
I will be participating in Alturnetive’s 100 Journals Project. This project is based on (and part of) the world-wide "1000 Journals Project". Each participant gets the book for 2 days to fill in a few pages (with anything they like - collage/painting/writing/drawing etc) and after 2 days they post it onto the next person on the list. Over 1000 people are involved including, amongst others, over 300 individuals, schools colleges, universities, offices, libraries, a health centre, a local neighbourhood project for vulnerable families and an RAF Squadron in Afghanistan.

The journals are then displayed at the Herbert Road Gallery, UCA, New Dover Road, Canterbury from 16th – 20th February 2010. The project is supported by the University for the Creative Arts. For more information please visit www.alturnetive.com.

Barnes Thomas Auction
3 of my paintings will also be auctioned off as part of a sale of work done by established Penwith-based artists, hosted by auctioneers Barnes Thomas of Penzance. The sale will take place at the end of January (date to be confirmed) and each piece will have a reserve of £50, with a maximum bidding price of £500. For more information, please contact either the artist or the auction house.

100 sq ft – 2nd Exhibition
After the success of the first 100 sq ft exhibition in November last year, a second show will be taking place in March this year. This will feature one of my paintings along with work by 99 other artists, each producing a piece of work 1 ft square, displayed in a grid. The Launch will be Sunday the 28th of February 2010 (open to everyone, and featuring resident DJ’s “Our Friends Eclectic”) with the exhibition running for the following week at the Boleyn's Boys Club, 68 Boleyn Road, London N16 8JG. For more information please visit www.100sqft.co.uk.
