Open access facilities for printmaking: The Regional Print Centre, Wales.

Article text

Regional Print Centre

The Regional Print Centre provides open access facilities for printmaking to artists and the public in Wales and beyond. No experience of printmaking is necessary. The centre caters for monotype, etching, relief and screenprinting including facilities for textile, ceramics, glass printing and hand papermaking.

Workshop access is available to all members of the public who have printmaking experience. Workshop Classes for those who wish to gain or extend their knowledge in a printmaking area are held regularly.

The Centre also offers specialist printmaking classes, lectures and demonstrations for art groups, schools and colleges. We host In Service Training Days for teachers.

Regional Print Centre is connected to the Yale Memorial Gallery, which with Wrexham Arts Centre organises the very exciting and successful "Wrexham Print International" which selected 54 artists from 10 countries in 2001.

The Centre is open by appointment all year.

Fees are low and flexible. Those who visit for only a few days or weeks do not need to become a 'workshop member' and can instead opt to pay 'occasional users' daily session fees.
