Stuart Austin
Stuart Austin
fine artist / illustrator
about
Currently based in Adelaide, Stuart is working as a freelance artist and illustrator alongside his study at the University of South Australia. Stuart works primarily with acrylics and inks, though oils and digital media will be appearing over time.
The artist's work varies in its intention and purpose. Illustrative pieces are created to serve specific purpose- recording objects, people or scenes- whereas pieces such as the abstracts are a reflection of the artist’s mindset or thinking. Stuart tends to blur these boundaries however, and takes inspiration from all areas of life. One primary focus at the heart of his body of work is the pursuit of truth, and the human condition, which the artist suggests will become further more apparent as time goes on.
